The Bothy is located in the very heart of the Laudale Estate which stretches along the south shore of Loch Sunart, about 30 miles southwest of Fort William. Set amidst some of the most spectacular scenery on Scotland’s west coast, The Bothy is a traditional highland cottage, furnished to a high standard. Secluded and peaceful, The Bothy is a place where you can really get away from it all, whilst still enjoying modern comforts.
Downstairs The Bothy has a large open plan lounge dining area, with a wood-burning stove for those crisp winter evenings. The television has freesat and there is a mini hi-fi. The kitchen is fully fitted, with built in washer/ dryer and dishwasher, and double oven with ceramic hob. There is also cosy double bedroom and shower room.
Upstairs there is a twin room (restricted head room) with lovely en suite toilet and sink. Should you not feel like preparing dinner, Strontian is just 8 miles away and has a good range of eateries.
The ferry to Mull is just a short drive away, or, you can explore the beautiful Ardnamurchan peninsula, with its wonderful views and wealth of wildlife.
8 miles away is the quaint village of Strontian, home to a local post office, general store and petrol station as well as local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants – all serving delicious local produce. For those who want to explore further, the livelier town of Fort William is 28 miles away – just an hour’s drive via the Corran ferry. As well as having a range of shops and eateries, Fort William also boasts a leisure centre, golf course and swimming pool.
